Breeze Bike Rides in Halton

If you're looking to get back on your bike and out in the fresh air, then come along on one of the Norton Priory Wildlife Explorer rides.
This is a great leisurely ride starting and finishing at Norton Priory Museum.  We'll keep off the roads and be traffic free on cycle paths, along canal paths and through woodlands.  There's a lot of wildlife to spot along the way so we can keep a look out.
Norton Priory has a cafe up at the Museum, and down in the Walled Garden courtyard there's the little tea room for drinks and snacks.  If you want to make a day of it, Norton Priory's 'Wildlife Discovery Kids Club' is on in the afternoon (You'll need to call them to book, and admission charges apply).
Wearing a helmet is essential for anyone under 18 years.  For safety younger children should be on a BSA approved child seat fixed to the adult's bike or on a tag-along bike.  Older children on their own bikes must be able to ride confidently without stabilisers as some of the route is alongside a canal.
Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too.
Please bring along equipment to repair punctures - ride leaders will try and help you out, but are not responsible for your bike.
Breeze really welcomes new riders, bring a friend or come on your own - don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch.
Look forward to meeting you.

Meet the Champions

  • Susan MacKell Susan MacKell I've always cycled but only got back into riding regularly in the last couple of years. I try to get out at least once a week either on my own, with my family or leading Breeze rides which I've been doing for a year now - I've also signed up to lead Sky Rides this year. I love exploring new places, especially countryside, woodlands and coastal routes - its all about getting out in the fresh air and getting a bit fitter in the process (without a gym machine in sight!) and maybe make some new friends along the way.
(Oh - and try and find some nice tea and cake stops en route!)
