You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.
Come and join us as we ride the iconic road bike route in West London. This 27 mile ride is multiple laps of the perimeter road in Richmond Park, a longstanding hub for London's road cyclists. Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Howard Garland Encouraging and assisting cyclists on the Sky Rides is something I find very rewarding. I was one of the first Skyride leaders way back in the first year, 2009. I have led many of the rides in West London and Southampton over the last few years.

I particularly enjoy cycling holidays and have ridden along much of the coast of Scotland and Wales. In 2010 I was also lucky enough to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats with 7 friends and we raised £25,000 for Help for Heroes. So, if you are thinking about taking your bike away for a few days then feel free to ask me any questions.

Like many of us, I cycled a lot as a teenager but then didn’t cycle regularly for most of my 20s and 30s. It is only a few years ago that I really started cycling again and I am so pleased as I just love it.
  • Richard Wraith Richard Wraith I love to ride several times a week both on-road and off-road, and ride regularly with Bigfoot Cycling Club.

When I am not riding I am normally found tinkering with model airplanes and helicopters or looking after peoples websites, when I'm not walking my dogs :-)
  • Tamara Pizarro Fernandez Tamara Pizarro Fernandez I commute to work in central London and try to go for longer spins in the weekends to get out of London and discover new areas.
I am a Sky Ride Leader as well as a Breeze Champion.
I have biked since little in cities like Stockholm in Sweden where I grew up, Lyon as an exchange student and London since 2007 when I moved here.
And BTW, the pic is for only for show I ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
