Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Gina Vaughan Gina Vaughan Whether commuting, racing, leisure rides, touring or personal challenges. Alone or in a group.

I don't always love it but I'm always glad I did it.

Hopefully through the Sky Ride scheme more people will see and feel the benefits of
    getting on their bike.
  • Lindsey Ball Lindsey Ball I’ve owned a bicycle for as long as I remember, but I really got back into cycling after completing the Sky Ride in 2011 - I really enjoyed cycling through a traffic free town, and after the event...I was hooked! After the Sky Ride, I started participating in local Breeze bike rides and I eventually became a Breeze Champion myself. Thanks to Breeze, I've made some lovely friends, found cycle routes (and coffee shops) that I didn't know existed and I now ride my bike regularly for commuting and pleasure as often as I can.
  • Steve Hill Steve Hill Club cyclist for over 50 years
Have enjoyed varying success at time trials, road races, trail quests, track, audax events, etc
Completed the Coast-to-Coast, the Corrieyairack Challenge, have finished a Land's End to John O'Groats tour and when young and couldn't afford gears, cycled from Leicester to Cape Wrath & back on single fixed.
Ride road bikes, mountain bikes, tricycles, tandem tricycles - and still haven't mastered the unicycle yet
Enjoyed leading and participating in the Skyrides since 2009, meeting many new fellow cyclists, and making the most of the cycle routes in Leicester town and county
