You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Come and join us on a lovely flat (ish), circular route of 24.5 miles around the West Cheshire countryside.
We will be using National Cycle Network Route 56 and tarmac roads to enable us to take in the sights of Capenhurst, Neston, Parkgate, Thornton Hough and the Lama and Ostriches on the way back to Capenhurs.
Quiet roads and lots to see, a perfect way to spend a few hours on a bicycle !

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Philip Latham I got into cycling as a way of improving my fitness, commuting to work four to five days a week, and saving a bit of money in the process. I love testing myself and have completed several 100 mile sportives. I want to help inspire people to challenge themselves, whether that means mega challenges or simply getting on their bike and going for a leisurely spin with new friends I hope you will join me on a ride soon.
  • John Gordon
  • Toby Pogson Toby Pogson Hello!

I've ridden bikes as long as I can remember and just love bikes. I have never been a competative cyclist I have just ridden recreationally. For the last 19 years I have mainly ridden mountain bikes, but like so many recently I have a reinvograted interest in the road scene due to the successes of several British riders.
Whether you are interested in being the next World Champion or Tour winner, or just looking for a fun day out, whether you ride a road bike, a mountain bike, a BMX or whatever, just get out and ride. Hope to see you at a Sky Ride event.
