If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
This is a lovely ride from Kendal to Staveley and back! Why not see the best that Kendal and the South Lakeland has to offer on this ride with rivers, quiet country roads, beautiful hills and picturesque towns.  We will have a mid point breather and refreshment point at the famous Stavely Mill Yard that has plenty to offer before completing our circular route back to Kendal.  At just over 11 miles this ride is perfect for anybody wanting to get out on their bike for a pleasent ride.

Excellent gentle ride out. The route within Kendal isn't for those uncomfortable with traffic. But once out past the railway bridge, its a lovely gentle ride. A couple of lumps (railway bridge to Carus Green & Winter Lane from Bowston to Plantation Bridge) will give a bit of a workout. Perfect place to stop at Staveley. The return along the east side of the river was a blast. But watch for branches & potholes. Excellent idea to split the ride at Staveley. A little fun was had with a hill sprint on the return. Thanks! It was a lovely time. Already signed up (with eldest daughter) for one of the rides from Brockhole.
