Breeze Bike Rides in Winchester

A gentle beginner’s ride suitable for children over 8 years of age, with an all important refreshment stop!
This easy ride around the ancient capital of England includes picturesque streets and historical sites with a stop at a tea shop to rest the legs and have a natter.  A mostly flat ride on quiet roads, short stretch on a slightly busier road.
Sights include: Cathedral, Water Meadows, St Catherine's Hill, St Cross Hospital, and Winchester College and the new Hockley viaduct Cycle Path.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for those under 16 and advisable but not essential for adults; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  
It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.  Please bring some money to buy refreshments. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too! 
We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.

• Heather Evans Hi my name is Heather, I love getting around on my bike and enjoy teaching children, young people and adults Bikeability and cycling skills. I'm very keen that more women and children learn to have fun and get around safely and confidently on their bikes. I am currently developing a social enterprise called Bespoke Biking that does cycle tours, training and led rides around the Winchester area. Come and join in the fun!
• Cosmina Cross I used to ride my bike everywhere until 7 years ago... when I had my first child. Recently re-started cycling and all the love just came back!
  I love cycling, especially off road, or on cycle paths (as much as possible).
  My children also love their bikes, so I am planning to organise a mixture of "women only" and "women and children" rides.
