Come and join us on this road route following quiet country lanes taking in some amazing sights along the way. Starting in Ponteland, the route passes by Kirkley Hall (Northumberland College) which features an obelisk commemorating the ascension of William and Mary in 1689. Next up is the scenic Bolam Lake, a popular local attraction before reaching the midpoint of the ride Wallington, much-loved home to generations of the unconventional Trevelyan family and now looked after by the National Trust. Stunning scenery, manageable inclines, super Nat Trust venue for mid point stop. Some parts of the road surface were poor otherwise full marks for this route.
