Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.

A 3.5 mile scenic ride around Cannon Hill Park one of the premier parks in the city. Awarded Green Flag status which encourages parks and green spaces to achieve high environmental standards, creating a benchmark of excellence in recreational green areas. With beautiful flowerbeds, lakes, pools and a wonderful collection of trees, it's easy to see why. There are many attractions to view along the way such as a Nature Centre and Midland Art Centre. The boating lake and the river Rea offers opportunities to feed the ducks - this is an ideal ride for families.

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
All ages are welcome. Those under the age of 5 must be in a BSI approved child seat, trailer or tag-a-long.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.

  • David Wilkinson David Wilkinson I commute to/from work by cycle, in all traffic, in all weather. My cycle is a serious road traffic vehicle, not a toy, and cycling is a way of getting around quickly and at almost no cost.

    SkyRides are different - a chance to get out with others, take it easy, chat, and encourage others to enjoy getting onto two (or one or three!) wheels in a safe, gentle environment.

  • Michelle Darby Michelle Darby I have always enjoyed cycling from when I was a child. The last 3 years I have got back into cycling and started to introduce my sons to it. We enjoy cycling along the canals in the area.
    Last year I discovered Sky Rides which was brilliant. It was a great chance to introduce my sons to road riding and cycling within a group, we met and rode with new people everyone was so friendly and supportive and we always felt welcome on the rides.
    I decided this year I would like to help other people get back into or start cycling so I took my leader training and this is my first year of being a sky ride leader. I am really looking forward to seeing you on a ride soon.
