You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.
There's nothing like popping out for an ice cream on a summer's day, but this 21 mile ride from Preston into the villages of the Fylde coast really pushes the envelope. You'll start at the UCLan Sports Arena and head out on an anticlockwise loop through the Fylde villages, with your compass set for the village of Elswick, the home of the famous Bonds Ice Cream Shop. Here you can sample a well-earned ice cream sundae, before looping back on quiet lanes through Roseacre and Lea Town back to Preston.
