Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Tim Lane Tim Lane Hello,

Cycling is my passion, I have been a serious cyclist for over 10 years and I enjoy both road cycling and mountain bikes.

I commute to work 2-3 days per week and my journey is just over a 50 mile round trip which is great in the summer and can be interesting in winter.

At weekends, when I am not leading Skyride’s, I can be found riding my road bike or mountain bike through the Surrey Hill’s.

I have taken part in many organised road and mountain bike events ranging from the London Ride 100 road ride to the Passport du Soleil in the French Alps. Recently I rode the Isle of Man End2End which was one of the toughest events I have ever taken part in but great fun.

Skyride is a great introduction to riding as well as an excellent way to ride with a group of like minded people to discover new routes. It is also a very enjoyable way to keep fit and healthy.

I hope to meet you on a ride very soon.
  • Mark Lyford As well as SkyRide leader, I am a National Standards Instructor (bikeability), primary teacher and run spring road cycling training camps to Almeria in southern Spain every year.
  • Andy Game Andy Game I've been a Sky Ride leader for the last 4 years in the Southampton and Bournemouth areas.
I have now moved to Farnborough and so will be doing rides in areas near to here.
I grew up in Bournemouth and Poole.
I have been in the Army for the last 23 years and enjoy teaching all kinds of cycling.
    I hold the following Quals:
    National Bikeability Instructor
    Level 2 British Cycling Leader
British Cycling Off Raod Leading Endorsment
    ABCC Mountain Bike Instructor
    SMBLA Trail Cycle Leader
I also instruct Kayaking and Canoeing, so if i'm not on 2 wheels I'm usually on the water!
I look forward to seeing you on the ride!
