Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Andrew Payne I have been taking cycling fairly seriously since 2003 and have been a member of the Maidenhead and District Cycle club since that time. During the summer months I regularly take part in time trails of 10, 25, 50 & 100miles.

In addition to Skyride leading (now in my 4th year), I'm also a British Cycling level 2 coach and a Bike-ability coach working at schools getting youngsters confident to ride to school. When time allows I'm also a cycling guide for a number of charity events like London to Paris rides

I really enjoy the Sky Rides as they are far more social than most of the riding I do and its good to meet people interested in the less competitive end of the cycling spectrum. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and having an enjoyable day out with good weather.
  • Bruce Hicks Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a certified Level 1 and Level 2 British Cycling Ride Leader. I route plan and lead all Sky Ride category rides, from Ride Easy to Ride Stong. I have been a keen cyclist for as long as I can remember, having built my own bikes and raced competitively when I was younger. Now I enjoy more social rides with friends and family. I am also a member of Slough Freewheelers, a friendly, local cycle group. I would be happy to see you on any of the Sky Ride routes I have planned or rides I am leading. All the rides I lead start from the Slough area and take in the beautiful surrounding countryside, parks and places of interest. I look forward to seeing you soon.
