Sky Ride Local in Knowsley

This is a lovely flowing ride which encircles the estate of the Earl of Derby in Knowsley. We head out via St Helens, Thatto Heath, Clock Face, Bold Heath where we have a lovely cake break lined up, Penketh, Cronton and finally back to Knowsley via Childwall. The ride is challenging in nature but easily attainable by anybody that fancies putting themselves to the test!

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Cliff Seggie Cliff Seggie Hi

I have participated in lots of Sky Rides and decided to become a Sky Ride leader last year so that I could continue to do this whilst also helping others to enjoy Sky Ride.

I have done lots of charity rides, Sportives', Tour of Britain Tour Ride and last year the Prudential London 100. I look forward meeting you on Sky Rides this year.
  • Steve OConnor Steve OConnor I am passionate about cycling about helping people enjoy what is an amazing pass time and sport.

After getting seriously into cycling myself only 2 years ago I trained hard and completed my First 100 mile ride last year.... This years challenges for me are the Tour of the Peaks Ride and a charity ride from London To Liverpool...... Cycling is an amazing way to meet people and get fit whatever your ability with the only side effect being getting fitter and being happier...
