Sky Ride Local in Plymouth

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
We have the perfect ride for you if you are looking to be a bit more adventurous with your cycling and progress from traffic free rides.  Let our Ride Leaders take you from the new Stonehouse Cycle Hub for a lap around Victoria Park before setting of to explore the historic Devonport.
Devonport formerly named Plymouth Dock was originally one of the "Three Towns" (along with Plymouth and East Stonehouse) that merged in 1914 to form what would become the City of Plymouth in 1928.
The 6.1 mile route will then wind its way to Devonport Park ahead of returning to Victoria Park for another lap before returning to the Stonehouse Cycle Hub.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Bob Summers Bob Summers I am 51 years old and love riding my bike. I really don't care what the weather is like, but prefer warmer days.I think we have some great ride leaders in and around Plymouth, come and take a leap of faith and join us for some rides.
  • William Nel-Barker William Nel-Barker I pretty much cycle everywhere I go, including the 12 miles to work and 12 miles back home. A member of Plymouth Cycling Campaign, blogger and general bike nut, I'm a happy fellow that gets on easily with people.
