Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
3 hours 45 mins  (2 hours 45 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Breeze Bike Rides in Harrow

In honour of the Women's Tour, held in Britain for the first time this year, we have our very own Tour de Harrow Parks. Come with a group of friendly women to get to know a selection of Harrow's parks and green spaces. You may find places you have never seen before!

This is a straightforward ride taking in as many parks as we can, mainly on quiet roads and off-road in between. There are some rough surfaces, so very smooth tyres are not suitable. Hybrids or mountain bikes are better.

Bring water, clothes appropriate to the weather (it will go ahead rain or shine) and some money for a light lunch in the Daisy's in the Park cafe in Pinner. We will stop about 2 hours into the ride.

The ride is led by a qualified Breeze ride leader at a gentle pace and we will always ride at the speed of the slowest. It is mostly flat with a few uphill sections and at least one exhilarating downhill stretch - so do make sure your brakes work. Please also pump up your tyres and check your bike is roadworthy before you arrive.

Please 'like' our page - Breeze Network Harrow - on Facebook to keep up to date with future rides.

Meet the Champions

  • Veronica Chamberlain I am 57 and have been riding bikes all my life. I am really keen to see more women riding and enjoying the freedom, fun and exercise it gives. Cycling should be a normal part of everyday life, for everyone.
