Sky Ride Local in York

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
Come and join us for a ride around York’s Orbital Cycle Route and see how easy it is to 'hop on' and then 'hop off' to different destinations around the city.  Starting out from the ‘Door 84’ we will use quiet roads to make our way on to the Orbital Route before commencing our Clockwise orbit of York.  We will take in some local landmarks including the Millennium Bridge, York Racecourse and cross the River Ouse twice before getting back to Door 84.  The ride uses where possible quiet roads and traffic free cycle ways to negotiate the 9 miles distance and is perfect for riders looking to expand their cycling from traffic free locations.
