This is a nice gentle ride, the majority of which is traffic free and on the  Festival Way cycle route.  The route starts near Flax Bourton Village Hall follows the cycle path taking in views across the National Trust Tyntesfield  Estate and passes the old Flax Bourton Railway Station. We then continue along Festival Way cycle route in to Nailsea taking a loop around Milennium Park and rejoin the cycle route back to Flax Bourton. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Alan Thuc Alan Thuc
  • James Denmead James Denmead I started cycling in September 2012 after having spent many years thinking the car was the only form of transport, and accepted I have never been sporty and always preferred sitting to standing.
After some time in the saddle I learnt being outside and actually doing something was great, I enjoyed it and quickly found the benefits to my fitness. Now I cycle 3 or 4'times a week and when I can I leave the car at home and cycle to work, arriving feeling more alert and awake than after driving.
I look forward to seeing you on one of my rides.
  • Johnatan Williams I have been cycling for the last 10 years and this has been predominantly on the road.

I am looking forward to leading out rides this year as a great introduction for people to the fun you can have in group cycling.

I have two young sons (6&4) and am excited about introducing them to cycling. Sky ride local is a great way of getting you into safe group riding and I'm looking forward to seeing you on one of my rides.
