Dudley MBC promote cycling as a form of transport through their Cycling Training Programme encouraging people to cycle more safely and more often. The scheme is delivered by a team of experienced instructors and is based on the National Standards for Cycling which falls into three categories.

Level 1 – bike handling skills in a controlled environment away from roads

Level 2 – skills and understanding to make a trip on quiet roads

Level 3 – make a trip on busy roads, using complex junctions

If you are starting to cycle for the first time, or returning to cycling after a gap, a great way to improve skills and gain confidence is to undertake cycle training.

Travel Plan for cycling and walking – in their aim to encourage an increase in cycling activity, Dudley MBC have implemented a number of initiatives in the local area.
