Recycles – bike recycling project

Recycles is a bike recycling project to help homeless people gain work experience and job skills. The Salvation Army is running the project with funding and support from the London Borough of Redbridge. Recycles will see people who have experienced homelessness work to recycle bikes that have been thrown away. The project launched in February 2013 and is based at the Salvation Army building on Clements Road, Ilford. Guests from their night shelter volunteer under the supervision of a bike mechanic and learn valuable skills that could hopefully help them to find employment. Find out more about future sale dates.
