Sky Ride Local in Kensington and Chelsea

We start this route at the front of one of London's most beautiful parks, Holland Park. We head off through fashionable west London and down Portobello Road before joining the Grand Union Canal for a totally traffic-free ride to Little Venice. Here we pause for a break before finding the start of the Regents Canal. We continue on to cycle through London Zoo, Regents Park and then return via Hyde Park.

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Giuseppe Morrone Giuseppe Morrone Hi there cycling fans and enthusiasts!

I've been a casual cyclist for the last 15 years however on advice from my doctor to get more exercise I had to choose an activity that could keep me interested. The gym was not the answer. So I turned to cycling as a much more serious hobby. I began training for the Prudential London Surrey Ride 100 last Autumn and have never looked back. I ride mostly on a road bike but I have now found a fondness for mountain biking too.

I'm a big enthusiast for cycling, its a great way to get around, especially in London, and its a great way to get out and socialise and do something healthy at the same time.

I look forward to seeing you all on the Skyride!
