Sky Ride Local in Leicester

A gentle three mile ride along the River Soar through the beautiful and historic Abbey Park. There will be plenty of opportunities to see wildlife, wonderful scenery and historic buildings of Leicester on this mostly flat, family friendly ride. Follow in the footsteps of Henry VIII and Cardinal Wolsey in the grounds of the ancient Leicester Abbey on this short but well designed bike ride.

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
All ages are welcome. Those under the age of 5 must be in a BSA approved child seat, trailer or tag-a-long.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.

All rides leave at the time stated, you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

    I am passionate about encouraging people to get on their bikes. I see Breeze rides and Local Skyrides as a way to do this and to provide fun at the same time. I particularly want to encourage more women to get in the saddle!
    Cycling is not only a way to get fit, but is also good for the environment. Think of the petrol saved!
    It is also a social activity, where you can make new friends and be encouraged along by other riders.
    My aim is to support both new and returning cyclists to gain the confidence to cycle more often.
    I look forward to meeting you on the rides.
