Sky Ride Local in Leicester

A 28 mile circular tour to the North Leicestershire town of Loughborough. This ride showcases some of the best country lanes that the area has to offer. Follow in the footsteps of Roman ancestors whilst you visit the welcoming villages and towns of Rothley, Mountsorrel, Cotes, Barrow, Cossington and Quorn. An ice cream at Stonehurst Farm shop will provide much needed refreshments.

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Rider Comments on the Route

  1. Lesley Matthews Sunday 6th July
My first ride with skyride and I was blown away by the friendliness, the laughter, the amazing countryside and the fantastic leadership of the 2 guys in charge. Finding skyride is the best thing I've done in years! Thank you.
  2. Jim Mitchinson Monday 26th September
Varied ride, country lanes & busy roads. The mixed ability of the group caused it to split into 2/3 groups which "in my opinion" spoilt the enjoyment of riding in a large group! Thank you
  3. Stephanie Walker Sunday 25th September
liked the section of country lanes, but alot of time spent crossing busy roads, traffic lights, going through housing estates and weaving on and off the cycle paths.
  4. Ebrahim Makda Sunday 14th August
