Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.

We'll travel alongside the River Dane which meets the River Weaver here in Northwich.   After a quick hop across London Road, we'll then follow the pathway that runs alongside the River Weaver which takes us down to Poors Wood before taking a break and turning back towards our start point.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Claire O'Brien Claire O'Brien I am a Breeze Champion, Sky Ride leader, and Go-Ride Coach. I am a Bikeability Instructor and a Weaver Valley Cycling Club committee member. I love guiding bike rides through the beautiful Cheshire countryside, and I love the social aspect to group riding. Above all, I just love riding my bike!
  • Ian Gent Ian Gent Hi, I'm Ian, I've been a keen cyclist and mountain bike rider for many years. This is my 4th year as Sky Ride Leader. I've got a good knowledge of the local ride routes. I'm equally happy doing road or trail rides that can be 5 or 50 miles, so can help you to enjoy your Sky ride whatever your level of cycling. Sky riding is about having fun on your bike in a safe environment - so book on to a ride and have a very enjoyable day out
  • Paul Cheers Paul Cheers Hi there. 2013 will be my first year as a Sky Ride Leader but I'm very much looking forward to it, and can't wait to get out on as many rides as possible with you all.

I've been cycling regularly since 2008. I fell back in love with cycling as a result of the rapid rise in fuel prices at the time and obtaining a nice bike on the Cycle To Work Scheme. The rest is history, and I've never looked back.

I started out commuting to save money, get fit and lose weight, and now regularly take part in Sportives and charity events. I now love nothing more than jumping on my road bike, and hitting the open country roads around my home for a few hours. However, I also enjoy just as much, hitching the trailer up to my hybrid and tootling off around my local cycle paths and parks with my family.

My cycling goals for this year was to complete the Ride London 100 in a respectable time which I did recently by posting a ride time of 4hrs 54mins for the 100 miles; and to get as many of you having fun cycling.

If I can do it so can you, so why not come along an join us, and let's see what cycling has in store for you :-) See you soon. Paul
