Sky Ride Local in Manchester

We are going to ride around looking for the Boggart which is said to haunt the clough. Boggarts are mischievous spirits responsible for mishaps and poltergeist activity within the home and in the countryside. They rearrange furniture, break pots and are generally blamed for 'things that go bump in the night'. So watch out for the Boggart and be very quiet as you pass over the hole under the bridge.

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? In my spare time i enjoy hockey, swimming, running, cycling and football. Ive delivered many breeze rides now and we have had some good feedback and met lots of great people.

My cycling experience includes riding along the 'Most Dangerous Road in The World' in Bolivia, South America in 2009 and completing the 'Manchester to Chester' ride and 'Manchester 100km' bike rides in 2012.

The rides are sociable, enjoyable and good fun. They are adaptable for all ages and abilities so don't worry if you've not been on a bike for a while, we are there to help! Hope to see you on the next bike ride!
  • Matt Waggett Matt Waggett Hi folks,

    I'm Matt.

This is my first year as a Skyride Leader, so please be gentle...

I hope to get out as much as possible, and am trying to squeeze in as many chances to meet you wonderful people on rides as I can, which can be difficult as I spend most of my time working. :(

I am a front line Police Officer, and have been for 13 years now, but finally have got around to completing my Ride Leaders Qualification.

You could probably describe me as a keen enthusiast, but don't worry..I am far from an athlete.....shift work has seen to that!

I'm the type of guy that would go out of his way to make sure you have a great time on the ride, and please please do say hello and give me a wave, I don't bite! Better still, get booked on some rides and come out and play :)

I would be more than happy to ride along with you if at all possible, and should you want to stay close, just give me or one of the other leaders a shout and we will look after you...promise

    See you soon :)
