Sky Ride Local in Watford

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
This steady suburban route sets off from the award winning Woodside Leisure Centre, visits "Watford's best kept secret", stops for tea in Cassiobury Park & reveals some unexpected green spaces, to say nothing of the Leavesden Studios - all maybe closer than you thought within Watford and more accessable by cycle route links!!

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • John Hancock John Hancock
  • Stuart Seaholme Stuart Seaholme Having not ridden for many years I took the opportunity to be trained as a cycle instructor. The last few years have been very enjoyable and rewarding to see so many people improve and a really fun way to keep fit.
  • Ian Curran I find cycling is a great way of getting around, seeing the countryside and keeping fit without the monotony of the gym. I have seen a lot of people taking up cycling and many find they really enjoy it once they have built up their confidence and skills. I have cycled on my own or with cycling clubs since I was about seven and enjoy it more each year. I would like to help others take it up and enjoy it
