Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.This lovely easy route takes you for a nice leisurely loop around Colwick Country Park. The park was originally formed from a gravel pit and now offers a quiet area for water sport activities, fishing , joggging as well as cycling.

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
All ages are welcome. Those under the age of 5 must be in a BSA approved child seat, trailer or tag-a-long.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.

All rides leave at the time stated, you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

  • Kevin Peasland Kevin Peasland I’ve recently joined the Skyride Leader team and enjoy cycling in groups. I’m not a London to Paris contestant but really enjoy normal cycling around town and countryside environments. Leics., Notts and Derby have beautiful areas of interest that I’m still exploring. Skyride have opened up an avenue where people can meet, ride, chat and relax especially on a Sunday, just up my street.

I got back into Cycling after a10 year gap and I now cycle everywhere that I can. I am lucky that my job - I work for Sustrans; means that I get paid to get more people cycling.     Really enjoyed this ride. Great to get out with some other cyclists, have a good chat. Ride leaders were excellent as ever! It's a nice easy ride on the flat, and lovely scenery to enjoy.
