Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Breeze Bike Rides in Waltham Forest

A gentle ride along the side of the River Lea, and in quiet areas nearby, with a stop at a cafe.
The route is entirely traffic free, and uses the towpath, a path along the side of allotments, and a section of unused road. No hills.
All welcome. We will go at the speed of the slowest rider, with nobody left behind. Suitable for all types of bikes.
Please arrive early, giving time for a quick bike check before setting off on time.
Where to park: the car park where we meet is a small free public car park. It is right at the very end of Coppermill Lane.
If you use a sat nav, just keep on driving down the road to the very end. Ignore it when it tells you to stop!
The Breeze champion carries some tools and will help if anyone has a puncture or mechanical issues. However we do not carry spare inner tubes, so a spare suitable for your bike is useful to bring along.
Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and  need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes  on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle,  introduce a second  friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze  Buffs, and introduce a  third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.  Read the article on the homepage for more information.   For more information visit website below

Meet the Champions

  • Bridget Wilkinson Bridget Wilkinson I started cycling in the 1960s, and have used a bike for touring, exploring, shopping, and generally getting around ever since. For me, cycling isn't a race, it's the best way of experiencing an area.
