Breeze Bike Rides in Bristol

Start the weekend with cycling! A mile32 ride from Southville, through Long Ashton and up Belmont Hill, Failand down to Clevedon and back to Bristol via Brockley Combe. If we are feeling up for it we can add Dundry - but only if we want to!

A ride at a reasonable pace, with some definite but achievable hills to take on. No-one will be left behind. Meet for coffee beforehand if you want in the Tobacco Factory yard - but be there for 3pm for bike checks so we can leave promptly at 3.15pm. Bring spare inner tube, enough liquid and a couple of snacks to keep you going. Coffee/ drink stop likely to be on return to Tobacco Factory. Cycle helmets are recommended for all over-18s.

Meet the Champions

  • Nicola Waterworth Nicola Waterworth I am a ride leader and Breeze Champion leading rides that are mainly women-only in Bristol. I organise rides that range from 5 miles to 60, at a range of paces and levels. I am also a trained Level 2 Cycling Coach so can offer advice and tips on improving your cycling.

    I enjoy meeting all the women who come on the Breeze rides, talking to them about cycling and helping them find buddies, cycling groups and rides that suit them. I am also a big fan of stopping for a good cuppa and occasional piece of cake!

    For myself, I enjoy long solo rides, the sense of achievement a good hill climb brings, exploring new place by bike, summer evening rides with friends or my dad in the Dales and attempting very novice and not terribly good cyclo-cross.
