Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
1 hours 45 mins  (1 hours 0 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Breeze Bike Rides in Bristol

A Friday afternoon ride for 8-10 miles on largley traffic free paths around Bristol to tea and cake at Beeses Tea Rooms, http://www.beeses.co.uk/ Bikes will be carried in the river ferry boat.

Suitable for all levels - introductory and those just wanting a leisurely Friday cycle. No-one will be left behind. Bikes need to be road worthy, helmets recommended. Route is suitable for all bike types but note that some of the traffic free paths are not tarmac and may be uncomfortable on a road bike. Bring pennies for cake etc.

Any questions go to Breeze Network Bristol on Facebook.

Meet the Champions

  • Nicola Waterworth Nicola Waterworth I am a ride leader and Breeze Champion leading rides that are mainly women-only in Bristol. I organise rides that range from 5 miles to 60, at a range of paces and levels. I am also a trained Level 2 Cycling Coach so can offer advice and tips on improving your cycling.

I enjoy meeting all the women who come on the Breeze rides, talking to them about cycling and helping them find buddies, cycling groups and rides that suit them. I am also a big fan of stopping for a good cuppa and occasional piece of cake!

For myself, I enjoy long solo rides, the sense of achievement a good hill climb brings, exploring new place by bike, summer evening rides with friends or my dad in the Dales and attempting very novice and not terribly good cyclo-cross.
  • Caroline Burrows Caroline Burrows Hello,
My name is Caroline and I love cycling as a mode of transport and the freedom in provides.
Therefore, the rides which I lead are aimed at getting women out on their bikes for a combination of reasons: to enjoy riding a bike, to socialise with others while riding and to visit areas of interest.
We will only go as fast as the slowest rider and always wait if someone is a little behind.
The aim is to ride a good amount of miles while having a natter, arriving at a destination to have a look around, drinking lots of tea and coffee while eating lots of cake, before riding back home.
    Hope you enjoy. C :-)
