Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
2 hours 0 mins  (45 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Breeze Bike Rides in Bristol

As part of the Bristol Cycle Festival a short, flat and traffic free ride of 4 ½ miles for mums with babies and toddlers in bike seats and trailers.

Before and after ride there will be cycling instructors available to provide tips about riding with small children and help you think about cycling with children as a great way to stay active and get about while staying safe. Ride followed by tea and cake (additional cost).

Child seats or trailers will need to be provided and should be securely attached, although we hope to have someone available to provide advice on suitable seats etc. Mums and children should wear cycle helmets; parents are responsible for ensuring children are old enough for seat or trailer, and that it is suitable for their size.

Meet the Champions

  • Nicola Waterworth Nicola Waterworth I am a ride leader and Breeze Champion leading rides that are mainly women-only in Bristol. I organise rides that range from 5 miles to 60, at a range of paces and levels. I am also a trained Level 2 Cycling Coach so can offer advice and tips on improving your cycling.

I enjoy meeting all the women who come on the Breeze rides, talking to them about cycling and helping them find buddies, cycling groups and rides that suit them. I am also a big fan of stopping for a good cuppa and occasional piece of cake!

For myself, I enjoy long solo rides, the sense of achievement a good hill climb brings, exploring new place by bike, summer evening rides with friends or my dad in the Dales and attempting very novice and not terribly good cyclo-cross.
