Roding Valley teatime ride

Tuesday 22nd July at 5.30pm This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Starting Point & Postcode
Roding Valley Park entrance by Charlie Brown's roundabout, opposite Tesco. Meet on the concrete area at the entrance to the Roding Valley Park, by the junction of Lechmere Approach and Southend Road.  IG8 8QE
Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
1 hours 15 mins  (1 hours 0 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Breeze Bike Rides in Redbridge

A gentle off-road ride in the Roding Valley Park and Claybury Park. All bike types.
The route is basically traffic free, using paths within the parks, and a short walk between sections. No significant hills. The route will vary, depending on the conditions and the riders, and I won't repeat a route if riders book for more than one ride.
All welcome. We will go at the speed of the slowest rider, with nobody left behind.
Bring a drink, and a snack if you need it. We will have a short break during the ride, but probably not a café stop unless I can find a café open at that time...
Please arrive early, giving time for a quick bike check before setting off on time.
Where to park: Park in the Tesco car park opposite. Use the Pelican crossing to cross the road.
Meet on the concrete area at the entrance to the Roding Valley Park, by the junction of Lechmere Approach and Southend Road.
The Breeze champion carries some tools and will help if anyone has a puncture or mechanical issues. However we do not carry spare inner tubes, so a spare suitable for your bike is useful to bring along.
Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and  need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes  on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle,  introduce a second  friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze  Buffs, and introduce a  third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.  Read the article on the homepage for more information.   For more information visit website below

  • Bridget Wilkinson Bridget Wilkinson I started cycling in the 1960s, and have used a bike for touring, exploring, shopping, and generally getting around ever since. For me, cycling isn't a race, it's the best way of experiencing an area.
