Route Description
Sky Ride Local in Southampton
If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
Come and join us on this 'great escape' from the hustle and bustle of the City to the tranquillity of rural lanes, passing close to Broadlands Estate in Romsey (home of Lord Louis Mountbatten where Prince Charles and Diana Spencer spent their wedding night). We will return via the wonderful new cycle path through Adanac Park, passing the new headquarters of the Ordnance Survey. This is a great ride for people looking to take their cycling a bit further.
