Route Description
Sky Ride Local in Southampton
Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
Come and enjoy this flat, traffic-free route along Southampton's only beach, Weston Shore. There is plenty to see on route including wonderful views over Southampton Water, taking in the world famous port from where the Titanic set sail and now the modern cruise liners depart regularly. Did King Canute try to hold the waves back on this shore as the legend suggests?
A family-friendly easy ride, there's plenty to do along the way for the whole crew, including the pirate ship play area, Art Deco beach shelters and residents’ 'Memory' boulders. This route is just over two miles long so you can do two laps if you're feeling energetic!
