Where will your bike take you?

Sky Ride city events are a nationwide series of summer events to encourage people to get back on their bikes. In 2010, over 200,000 people took part in free-mass participation rides all over the UK.

Sky Ride Local rides are fun, friendly and free community bike rides that help you get out and explore your local area. They’re led by a British Cycling trained ride leader who can provide support and give you a few tips, whatever your age or ability.

The Breeze network from British Cycling is all about fun, local bike rides for women, by women – and there's a whole range of support, training and ride opportunities too. The network's informal and relaxed. It’s what you want it to be.

Get the skills, grow in confidence and keep cycling! Whether you’re just starting out on a bike, thinking about cycling more, or simply nuts about bikes – there’s a British Cycling Bike Maintenance Workshop for you.

Extra Sky Ride Local places added in Blackpool

Sky Ride Local rides are proving so popular in Blackpool that we've made extra places available! By arranging for extra Ride Leaders to accompany groups, we've been able to open up extra places on all the rides taking place this Sunday (21st August) and next Sunday (28th August).

Rides vary in levels, from beginners to more experienced cyclists, so you can pick a level to suit your skills and enjoyment. Whatever level you choose, you'll be riding on safe routes, with your ride leaders. And if you haven't dusted off your bike for a while, they'll happily check it over for you.
