Loads to do at Sky Ride Manchester

Having a laugh

Sky Ride Manchester on Sunday 4 August is going to be a great opportunity to join in a huge traffic-free bike ride – but even if you don't want to join the ride, there’s plenty to do on the day.

As well as cycling around the six mile route as many times as you like between 10.00am-4.00pm, there’ll be a range of free entertainment and activities to enjoy throughout the day.

Radio presenter and Sky Ride Ambassador Edith Bowman will officially start the ride at the National Cycling Centre, the home of British Cycling. Triple Olympic gold medallist Jason Kenny and World Track Cycling Champion Becky James will also be joining us on the route, and signing Sky Ride bibs and autographs at the National Cycling Centre.

It’s also well worth checking out the British Cycling and Team Sky fan zone, Watt Bike racing, and the amazing BMX stunt displays. There will be loads of sports taster sessions – include athletics, squash, tennis, Go Ride, capoiera, Strider bikes, skateboarding, adapted bikes – at City Square. And the Community Marketplace is a great place to meet local bike shops and mechanics and learn about cycling initiatives in your area.

Sound like fun? Come and join us at Sky Ride Manchester this Sunday for a free day of cycling and entertainment.
