Ride Leader Paula Bartlett looks forward to Sky Ride Bath

Web developer Paula Bartlett has a long-held passion for everything to do with bikes – as well as being a mountain bike coach in her spare time, she loves taking her five bikes apart and putting them back together again, and she’s even been known to ride round the Cotswold hills by moonlight... But she’s not just an out-and-out bike geek. Since becoming involved with Sky Ride, Paula’s discovered a talent for enthusing others about the simple pleasures of cycling for fun.

‘I found out about Sky Ride through my British Cycling membership,’ says Paula. ‘I just wanted to find out what it was all about, and to get out and ride with a bunch of like-minded people’. As well as taking part in the Sky Ride city events in London and Birmingham in 2009, Paula jumped at the chance to become a Ride Leader.

‘The City rides just blew me away. The atmosphere was brilliant. So when British Cycling invited me to be part of the 2010 programme I was really interested. I did some formal training with them and then got to take out riders and show them the beauty of cycling. It’s really great to be able to share my passion for cycling with others.’

Paula will be one of the Ride Leaders riding out with participants at Sky Ride Bath on 5th June, and she can’t wait.
