Steady
When you're ready to broaden your cycling horizons and take on a bit more of a challenge, Steady rides are perfect. You'll need to be happy to push yourself a little bit, maybe even taking on a couple of modest hills, but at a pace you'll be comfortable with. These rides are designed to give you a rich cycling experience on mainly quiet roads with plenty of places of interest along the way.

Sky Ride Local in Bournemouth
If you’re fairly confident on your bike on dirt and gravel surfaces and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Off-Road Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, there is barely a metre of tarmac in sight on these rides so come and enjoy the scrunch of gravel and the squelch of mud under your tyres with us! Rides are between 6 and 15 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
This is a real history trip touching many eras. Starting in sight of the lovely St Stephen's Church, we circle National Trust property Kingston Lacy on wide bridleways with beautiful countryside views. We then go on to visit Shapwick village via country lanes before climbing up and around Badbury Rings to observe the mile long Beech tree avenue planted as an anniversary present for the Lady of the Manor. Join us on this 9 mile off-ride that really is the jewel in the crown!
