Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.

This traffic-free family-friendly five mile ride shows off the delights of two of Leicester's many fine parks. Discover the delights of Braunstone Park, with its two lakes, children's playgrounds, walled garden and Grade II listed Georgian mansion house. If you're lucky, you might see Braunstone Flyers Model Aircraft Club's miniature aerobatic displays. The route then leads you into the adjacent Western Park, once part of the ancient Leicester Forest, a former hunting ground for the Earls of Leicester. This beautiful park also features the 'Eco House' - an environmentally-sustainable showhome featuring the latest green technology. What better way to visit it than by bike?

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
All ages are welcome. Those under the age of 5 must be in a BSA approved child seat, trailer or tag-a-long.

I've been leading rides in Leicestershire and the Midlands for 5 years as well as overseas, including a 1,000 km Camino. I've built two bikes from a bare frame.
    Cycling is great, and Leicestershire has some of the best cycling around. Looking forward to meeting you on the ride!

    Ideal route for all bike types mainly on Cycle paths, with a small section of quiet road. Only spoilt by the little $#!@$ throwing stuff at my daughter as she went past on her trike :(
