Sky Ride Local in Blackpool
This 4.5 mile ride takes in the world-famous sights of breezy Blackpool promenade. Flat, fun and traffic-free, this cheeky seaside route has plenty of iconic sight. From the famous promenade itself, the enormous Norbreck Castle Hotel, the North Pier, Blackpool's unmistakable tower to the futuristic white towers of the offshore wind farm. The ride heads north as far as Bispham, before returning on the same route. Fabulous family fun.

I'm a Go-Ride Coach and Bikeability Instructor so I'm really enthusiastic about getting people, young and not so young, onto bikes and enjoying the health and social benefits cycling can bring whatever your ability. I enjoy riding for pleasure and have ridden most of the lanes and roads in the Fylde and surrounding area over the years- and a few further afield. I do the occasional Sportive and Charity Ride when time allows to do the training and if I can't answer your cycling query I'll find someone who can.

I work full time in a special educational needs school. I work with pupils aged 4 - 16.
Within my role at school I organise cycle training and run a bike club after school. I am also trained to use and coach users of adapted bikes.
I cycle regularly at the weekend and prefer a leisurely cycle ride.
I completed my Level 1 British Cycling Coaching Certificate earlier this year and am hoping to complete my Level 2 British Cycle coaching award in 2011.
I have recently started cycling to work every day and am enjoying the exercise, fresh air and often the rain too!
