High Elms Flyer

Sunday 29th September at 10.00am This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Starting Point & Postcode
Biggins Hill Recreational Ground Kingsmead off Main Road A233, Biggins Hill TN16 3UB
Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
2 hours 35 mins  (1 hours 55 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Sky Ride Local in Bromley

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.

Join us on this wonderful tour around Bromley's country lanes with great views across the valley past several woods. Quench your thirst at the source of the River Ravensbourne, Caesers Well at Keston, then on towards High Elms for some well earned refreshments. Once fuelled up, we head up towards Downe, and appropriately named, all the roads from Downe go DOWN! The final few miles see us returning to Biggin Hill via Downe House.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Anthony Tavernier-Gustave I am a very confident rider who commutes to work three times a week and enjoys leading rides.

This is my second year as a sky ride leader and have really enjoyed helping others achieve their cycling goals.
  • Dave Byrne
  • Timothy Surry I am a keen cyclist but believe it should be first and foremost enjoyable. Having recently finished John O'Groats to Lands End over 14 days this was put to the test!

This is my first year as a SkyRide leader and really enjoy meeting all the different people.
