Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Sky Ride Local in Bromley

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

A challenging circular ride out from Crystal Palace Station to visit four of the best and scenic parks in the borough of Bromley.  The 30 mile route is mainly on roads and takes in the delights of Cator, Normal, Langley and High Elms Park.  There will be plenty of time to get off and have a breather in each of the parks.  This ride is perfect for a blast of fresh air and a challenging ride out in great company!

  • Joe Adolphe Joe Adolphe This is now my 3rd year as a SKY ride leader. I'm a keen cyclist who enjoys passing this pleasure to others. I'm happy leading all levels, regardless if it's 'ride strong' or 'ride easy', and always try to make sure that all who take part have had an enjoyable time.....especially if there is a 'cake stop'!
  • Denis O'Callaghan
  • Timothy Surry I am a keen cyclist but believe it should be first and foremost enjoyable. Having recently finished John O'Groats to Lands End over 14 days this was put to the test!
