Sky Ride Local in Bradford
Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
If you and your friends or family are quite new to cycling this is an ideal route. We start on Station Road at Cullingworth and follow the Great Northern Trail to Station Road at Harecroft. The route is car-free, has a nice tarmac surface, and our only small hill is onto the bridge. We ride over Hewenden Viaduct and there are some lovely views from here. We will go out and back which is 2.5 miles and, if you have enough huff and puff, we will do it again totalling 5 miles in all. A great ride for everyone.
This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 69. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network).
