Breeze Bike Rides in Leicester

On July 7, join thousands of women all over the world to ride 100k!  The Women’s 100 started with the goal of taking 100 women to the very male dominated Etape in the same year as the 100th edition of the Tour de France. It soon became clear that these 100 women could help inspire tens of thousands of other women to ride. Thus the Rapha Women’s 100 was born – ride 100km on the 7th July, wherever you are. The 100 women going to the Etape are a mixture of Rapha ambassadors, bloggers and journalists who will write about their adventures and encourage others to get out and ride, especially on the 7th July.

So why not join us on 7th July and join thousands of other women around the world who will be participating in this event.

On this ride we start at Watermead Park and make our way towards Asfordby where we will meet Indi, another one of our Breeze champions.  Indi will then lead us out to the Vale of Belvoir and then back to Asfordby.

This ride incorporates Indi's Vale of Belvoir ride.  So if you want to do part of the challenge, why not sign up to Indi's ride instead, it would be great to see you then.

Please do remember to bring a spare inner tube with you, plenty of water, snack and sandwiches or some money to buy some food when we stop for lunch.

If you are not too sure whether this ride is for you please do feel free to contact me through our Facebook page or through our e-mail address breezeleicester@gmail.com

Meet the Champions

  • Susan Doram Susan Doram I have recently re-discovered cycling through Sky Ride. It's a great opportunity to get out into the fresh air, see some of our beautiful countryside, meet other riders and most importantly enjoy the much deserved tea and cakes after the ride :-)
  • Indigo Kelly Hi,

I really enjoy cycling as it makes me feel good.

Whether I cycle for a few miles or loads of miles, it's just good to be out and about.

I know it might sound cheesy BUT I love meeting new people and sharing stories - especially funny ones!

Whether you are a beginner who would like to have a bit more confidence about getting on your bike or perhaps you are confident about cycling but don't like busy roads or maybe you just want to ride with like-minded women - come along and see what you think.

    Remember:

you will receive a warm welcome and lots of encouragement

the riders stick together so that no one gets left behind - we start and finish together

the rides will be appropriate to ability levels and can be altered as needed

I hope to see you at a ride - when you're ready.

    Kindest regards, Indi. :-)

PS I am amazed to say that I recently completed John O'Groats to Lands End (931 miles in 13 days) and the pic shows me at JOG - keen to get going!
