Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Graham Aird Graham Aird I’m am over 40 desk driver who woke up one morning and decided I was far too fat and unfit!!!
You could call it a mini midlife crisis!!!
So I cajoled a friend that we should do something about it and we agreed to buy some bikes.

My first group rides were with SkyRide, and that gave me the bug. I knew I wanted to cycle. I tried running and decided it hurts and you don't get anywhere fast enough!
So I set myself a few goals for distance rides, and pondered if I could raise a little money for charity too! So after completing the some training, I found myself leaving London en-route through Northern France and finishing under Le Tour Eiffel. What a feeling 2 months off my 41st birthday!
So now, I want more people to get the bug and join the fantastic life of a cyclist.

  • Ray Savage I have loved cycling since I was about 7 years of age and still do. Prefer on-road and more challenging rides. Try to commute to work on the bike when-ever I can. Lived in the village of Shrewley for the past 14+ years so know the area and cycle routes fairly well
  • John Kirk Hi! I started cycling about 20 years ago and have cycled in Israel, Kenya, Jordan, Egypt, China, India, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, and the USA. I've been leading rides in Leicestershire and the Midlands for 5 years as well as overseas, including a 1,000 km Camino. I've built two bikes from a bare frame.
Cycling is great, and Leicestershire has some of the best cycling around. Looking forward to meeting you on the ride!
