Buzzards and Boats

Sunday 8th September at 2.00pm This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Starting Point & Postcode
Stratford upon Avon Parkway Station Bishopton Lane, (off A3400 / A46 roundabout) CV37 9QY
Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
1 hours 30 mins  (50 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Sky Ride Local in Warwickshire

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. This is a gentle ride into the countryside surrounding Stratford. Along the route hopefully we'll see some wildlife, including Buzzards along the Ridgeway. The ride will pass historic Mary Ardens house at Wilmcote and return by following the National Cycle Network path alongside the Stratford Canal.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Ken Foden Ken Foden I've cycled all my life but only taken it up 'seriously' in the last 5 years.

I'm a member of Beacon cycling club. I take part in spotives, audax's and in Aug 2011 I completed Land's End to John O'Groats, if you get the chance to do this you really must, fantastic experience.

I can't wait to get out there and meet you all, to have a laugh and joke and enjoy the cycling.
  • Tessa Smith-Winnard
  • Mitchell Davis Mitchell Davis Hi everybody my name is Mitch.
I got into cycling four years also ago, and never looked back. I started when Skyride Local was formed. It is a great way to get back on your bike and involve your family, as my kids enjoy the many rides they are still doing. I enjoy road riding and going off road getting really muddy.
"Now I have the pleasure of being a Ride Leader"
I look forward to meeting you all.
