Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Sky Ride Local in Warwickshire

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.

This route follows undulating, quiet roads and offers stunning views of the South Warwickshire countryside towards the Cotswolds. Along the route we'll pass various historical buildings including Mary Arden's House, the King's Head public house at Aston Cantlow and Billesley Manor Hotel. Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Carol Savage
  • Tony Paplauskas Hi!
My name is Tony and I'll be one of your ride leaders for the Sky Ride you'll be joining us for in the near future. For my day job, I'm a primary PE specialist and teach cycling skills at my school in Coventry. I'm also a Bikeability trained instructor and of course a Sky Ride Leader! I'm really looking forward to getting lots of people, of all ages, onto their bikes and enjoying it as much as I do.
As far as my own cycling goes, I don't think I fit into any particular category as I like to try different cycling related activities. I do however, enjoy cycling with friends and family on long, sunny days in the countryside. More recently, I've started to go further afield on short cycling holidays with my wife.
Looking forward to meeting you - bring the sunshine with you!
  • Ian Oliver Ian Oliver Been riding for many years, mostly for fun, but I currently commute ten miles to maintain a degree of fitness.. I enjoy trying new routes, seeing new things, meeting new people. Rode Lands End-John O'Groats in 2010, and getting itchy toes again...

Rider Comments on the Route

  1. Zorena Paplauskas Sunday 28th July
An enjoyable ride thru' beautiful countryside. Not sure I agree with an easy rating as some of the hills would not be suitable for younger riders. Lovely sunday ride and would do it again.
  2. Rob Gullen Sunday 28th July
The ride was well-organised, although only a handful of riders - however the ride was "not for me" [being rather slower than anticipated] and I left early. The ratings for rides appear to need better descriptions to attract riders and match suitability/desires.
