Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in Test Valley

This is a steady-paced ride of just under 10 miles in rural lanes around the village of Braishfield near Romsey in Hampshire. A perfect step-up for those who feel confident on a 5 to 6 mile beginner ride.


It's a good idea to bring a spare inner tube which fits the wheel of your bike just in case of a puncture - though someone will be on hand to help.  


We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.


We'll stop somewhere for coffee either en-route or on our return so please bring some money.


Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.

Meet the Champions

  • Viv Mackay Viv Mackay Hello I'm Viv,
    I ride a really fun machine called a recumbent trike. I became a BREEZE CHAMPION in March 2013 though I've led rides around Romsey for many years so I'm familiar with the road network of surfaced country lanes.

    Of course a bike ride is even more fun if there's a stop along the way for coffee and a chat and we do that where we can.

    So do come and join us. Bring a roadworthy bike - helmets are advised but optional. Make new friends and, as well as feeling good on your bike, you'll probably see some of the wildlife in this fantastic area of countryside. One thing is certain - you won't be left behind.
