Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Rob Pearson I'm a keen cross-country mountain bike rider who dabbles in road cycling. I'm trained as a mountain bike leader, and intend to try and make a living out of cycling one day. I also enjoy climbing, Kung-Fu, and snowboarding. Despite all this, I'm probably still twice the size of your average skinny-tyre Lycra clad roadie.
  • Mir Zaman Mir Zaman Hello everyone, This is my 3rd year being involved with these rides both as a participant and as Ride Lead. I enjoy cycling in general to keep fit and try to include at least one long ride per week. As for this ride - I look forward to meeting you and sharing the same experience. We'll have some fun out on two wheels for a change and at the same time get a breath of 'fresh air'...
Ride Well with Care and always remember to Keep Safe if riding on the road..!!!
  • Hannes Kerr-Gold Hi,

I live in Telford, am a road riding enthusiast. I commute to work about 30 miles a day. When possible I try and ride a few longer rides each year.
  • Colin Reed I used to ride my bike a lot as a young boy and really enjoyed it. Much later I taught my own children how to ride. And occasionally I used to cycle commute in London. In 2011 I decided to get fit and began riding my bike 5 miles to work. The fresh air every morning was fantastic. Yes it was a little hard at first, but after a few weeks it became easy. After a few months I went out one day and cycled more than 10 miles! That gave me enough courage to try some easy bike rides with a cycling club and I rode further than I ever imagined! I loved cycling through the quiet countryside soaking up the beautiful scenery. So I finally caught the cycling bug!! Since then I've done many club rides, a few sportives, and two charity bike rides including 450 miles from Paris to Birmingham. In the last 2 years I've come a long way - it seems unbelievable - but if I can do it, anyone can!! I look forward to seeing you on a ride soon!
  • Janet Steel Hello, I didn't get on a bike until in my twenties and then started using one to go a short journey to work, I started exploring Sustrans routes with a friend and eventually joined a cycling club which is a great way to meet people and explore the countryside as well as improve as a cyclist. I now enjoy teaching bikeability and encouraging anyone to get going on their bike.
