Breeze Bike Rides in Cheshire West and Chester
Why not come and join us for a leisurely ride through the beautiful Cheshire countryside?
Leaving from the Eggbridge car park in Waverton, we head along cycle route 45 towards Beeston. After nearly 4 miles we turn left onto cycle route 70 and follow this route to Beeston Castle. There is a little climb on the way up to Beeston, but please don’t let this put you off...if you need to get off and walk that’s absolutely fine!
At the top of the climb there’s a lovely downhill and we stay on cycle route 70 until we turn off to the ice cream farm, after approximately 10miles of cycling. We’ll stop here for a well earned rest and of course coffee and cake. Or if the weather has been especially kind to us, it would be rude not to indulge in the Cheshire Farm’s award winning Real Dairy Ice Cream , with over 40 flavours to choose from.
Once we are refreshed, we head back for the final 5 miles on route 70 to eventually re-join route 45 and back to the car park.
All abilities welcome, however the route is a little lumpy and is all on the public highway albeit reasonably quiet roads. This ride is suited for a road or a hybrid bike.
Please bring a helmet, inner tube and puncture repair kit just in case, and it's always a good idea to have a drink with you.
Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too and wearing a helmet is advisable.
If you have any queries about this ride, please email me on jo_barnsey@hotmail.com
Look forward to seeing you there.
Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.
