Steady
If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way.

Breeze Bike Rides in Stockport
The ride follows part of the Middlewood Way, a disused railway line from Marple to Macclesfield and cuts through the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We will only cycle part of the trail out to just past the Lyme Road bridge. This is about 5 miles out and then after a break we will cycle back the way we came.
The trail is flat and totally traffic free so this ride is suitable for beginners. There will be a very short road section to get to one of the cafes but we can push our bikes along here if you prefer.
We will be stopping at the half way point to go to a local cafe, either the 'The Coffee Tavern' or 'Trading Post' for a well-deserved break. Both are just off the main trail, we can decide on the way. Please bring a bike lock with you (if you have one) to secure your bike while we stop for a drink.
Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy before you come on the ride. The route is most suitable for bikes with wider tyres as wet weather can make the trail muddy and uneven.
Please bring and wear lots of layers to keep you warm, we are cycling in November and these rides are supposed to be fun. It is always better to be able to take a layer off than feel cold, there is nothing worse to ruin a fun ride. It's a good idea to bring a drink and snack with you to keep you going.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
As with all Breeze Network rides, we will ride at the speed of the slowest cyclist. You will not be left behind so there is no need to worry!
See you there!!
