Sky Ride Local in Torbay

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Come and join us on this amazing 26 mile challenging route that starts and finishes at Edginswell Business Park.  This route is as flat as you are going to get it down in Devon as we will meander our way to the Dartmoor Park Headquarters town of Bovey Tracey by way of the beautiful backwater hamlet of Teigngrace.  There will be plenty of places to stop and have a breather, take on some water along the way.  No more so than when we make our way through the attractive Stover Park.  This route is just perfect for anybody wanting to increase their distance without the hills!

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Simon Durant Simon Durant Hi

I am new to Sky Ride this year and looking forward to some great rides. I live in Newton Abbot, married to Liz, with three young boys who are all passionate about cycling and they encouraged me to become a ride leader. I am looking forward to meeting some new faces and promoting cycling in Torbay, hope you can join us soon on a Sky Ride and have some fun.

    Regards Simon
  • Graham Heysett Hi I'm Graham,

As well as a Sky Ride Leader I am also a National Standard Cycling Instructor, Sustrans Volunteer Group Co-ordinator and I volunteer for Ride On, a bike recycling charity based in Exeter.
I love all things bicycle related and getting out for a ride. I look forward to helping you to enjoy your Sky ride whatever your level of cycling.
  • Graham Brodie Keen regular cyclist living in Newton Abbot.
I have three children growing up rapidly, and organise a few local events.
Most weekends I ride out with a CTC group to coffee.
I also like fixing and building bikes!
